They are time consuming to plate, unstable, and difficult to feed. Perfecta3D® Hanging Drop Plates allow for uniform and easy aggregate formation in a well plate format. Media changes are performed easily so that EBs can be grown continuously for weeks.
One EB per well
One aggregate is formed in each well, giving you control over your cultures. The size of each aggregate can be controlled as size is dependent on the number of cells seeded and time of culture. With each aggregate in its own drop of media, there’s no cross-talk between samples. Aggregates can be transferred easily to a traditional well plate allowing for a greater volume of media or analysis without pooling spheroids. Lastly, you can perform high throughput analysis of transfected targets or small molecules in a single plate!
No cellular contact with plate surfaces
With Perfecta3D Hanging Drop Plates, your aggregates still form in a drop, so there is no surface contact.
Perform media changes from the top of each well
Media exchanges are performed easily through the top of the plate, allowing for longer continuous growth and the ability to alter the media composition without disturbing the aggregates.
